Description

The EOS C70 is a new generation EOS Cinema RF-mount camera with a 4K DGO Super 35mm sensor designed to be the gateway from the EOS system to the EOS Cinema system.

Integrating the main EOS Cinema video tools in a mirrorless body, the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera features a Super 35mm DGO (Dual Gain Output) sensor to capture nuanced images with a high dynamic range of up to 16 stops.

EOS C70 is also the first EOS Cinema Camera with an RF mount that allows you to use Canon's range of fast and reliable RF lenses with advanced coatings and image stabilization.

Other professional video features include dual-pixel CMOS autofocus control and capture at up to 4K 120p or Super 16 2K crop 180 fps. This lightweight camera also features a 3.5-inch LCD panel with direct touch control for quick and easy setting changes, as well as auto-ISO and auto-gain functions.

Combined with the C300 Mk III, it integrates perfectly into the workflow and can be a good B camera. It is also an alternative to the C200, C100 and EOS R. Its LCD touch screen speeds up your workflow by allowing you to activate and deactivate functions directly from the touch screen. The EOS C70 is powered by a BPA-60 or BPA-30 battery or the included AC adapter.

To provide greater flexibility in lens selection, the EOS C70 is also compatible with the EF-EOS R 0.71X lens mount adapter available separately. This adapter converts your full-format lenses to Super 35mm while offering a convenient increase in aperture speed of around one stop.

In addition to dual-pixel AF CMOS compatibility, it is also the first camera to incorporate the EOS iTR AF X autofocus system (with intelligent tracking and recognition) initiated by the recently launched EOS R5. This system implements a high-performance head and face detection algorithm. Working in conjunction with Face Detection AF, this sophisticated feature greatly improves the reliability of focusing and tracking a person.

On the other hand, the EOS C70 also inaugurates the ISO AUTO mode which appears for the first time in an EOS Cinema System camera. With the EOS C70, Canon also reaches a new milestone by offering the first EOS Cinema System camera with a specific vertical framing mode designed to be compatible with the recording of content for social networking and digital signage applications.
