Developed for photojournalists and professional photographers, the EOS R1 has been designed to ensure you never miss the crucial moment in sports photography and news coverage. Reactivity and ultra-fast autofocus are the fundamental characteristics of the EOS R1.

The new cross-type autofocus system ensures excellent focusing in the most difficult shooting conditions, such as framing through the mesh of a net or focusing on small subjects. This system provides a high level of detection, tracking and precision.

The EOS R1's silent electronic shutter allows images to be captured at a rate of 40 fps, with a pre-trigger of 20 images. Its 24.2-megapixel resolution offers exceptional sensitivity and speed, while enabling 96-megapixel definition thanks to Deep Learning image upscaling. What's more, synchro-flash speed now reaches 1/400th of a second. The EOS R1 also boasts a host of multimedia functions, including 6K 60fps, 4K 120fps and Full HD 240fps video recording.

Designed to withstand the toughest conditions, the EOS R1 features a new weather-resistant body. A high-resolution, anti-fog viewfinder and a large eyepiece make it a comfortable camera for long-term shooting. A new two-step AF-ON button enables 2 programmed functions to be activated in succession and instantaneously, so you can immediately adapt the camera's configuration.
