Sony's exclusive Nano AR Coating II technology also effectively reduces flare and ghosting to produce clear, sharp images.

The 11-blade circular diaphragm and optimisation of spherical aberration from design to manufacture ensure the soft, sublime bokeh characteristic of the G Master range.

Compared with its predecessor, the FE 85mm F1.4 GM II is around 20% lighter, weighing just 642 grams, and its volume is reduced by around 13% thanks to the most advanced mechanical technologies and optical designs available today.

 For creating film sequences at f/1.4, the FE 85mm F1.4 GM II features an XD linear motor. Focus Breathing' during focus changes is minimal, and it also supports compensation for variation by the camera.
